Hardstone Cameo in the style of Castellani
This is a Victorian Etruscan Revival hardstone cameo in a 14 karat rose gold frame in the style of Fortunato Pio Castellani. The pin is all original with a "C" catch and is in perfect condition.
The cameo is a white on brown sardonyx carving and is in pristine condition. Hardstone Cameos are much rarer than common shell cameos since they are infinitely more difficult to create. This cameo has amazing details and was probably the work of a Old World Master Carver.
